Hey guys, got a few questions of the memory on a video card. (Mods, if this should be in memory, move it there please)
Anyway, I have Shappire 9600 Pro Atlantis 128MB, and I have it set at a fairly conservative overclock, 452Mhz/303(606)Mhz. I've been meaning to push it more, and I know I cna get more core upto 513Mhz fine, but the memory hardlocks if I go much higher than it is now.
I decided to investigate what might be the issue, so I researched what the memory chips are, and found that they are:
EtronTech EM6A9320B1-2.8 H100409MEH30014
So I went to Etron's site (http://www.etron.com) to look them up, and I found them. And I found that the chips are rated to 350MHz (700).
So my question is: why they heck won't they even get close? Can I do some BIOS flashing to get them more capable (like flash it to looser timings?), or will throwing heatsinks on there help?
Thanks!
(BTW, here is the Etron PDF with the info on them.... Here
