Is there some sort of sequence when installing the driver and stuff for the 1900xt card?
I have the card and I just dont seem to be getting very much performance out of it, my 3dmark 05 score is around 85xx, any ideas
 
did you uninstall the old driver, reboot in safe mode and run driver cleaner pro before installing the new drivers?
 
no, this is a brandy new biuld.

I heard that the order you install the .net drivers and the cats make a difference...or something along those lines
 
the only games that I have are FEAR, NFSMW and GTA SA. I am not all to impressed with any of them, I get alot of hitching in MW and fear I guess does ok but for some reason I think It should do better GTA was doing fine but when there is alot of stuff going on the FPS drop dramatically, I am playing with all setting as high as they will go, all settings in the CCC are set to there max values also, what are you guys getting in fear and what settings are you useing?

You set all quality options as high as they go in the CCC? That may be your problem.

well then, I will turn them all off and test FEAR...I will return with the score.

Vsync on
SS on

avg 39
max 62
9% below 25
49% between 25 and 40
42% above 40
I gain ~6-7 frames with SS off

So, does this sound off, or not...

Seems low, you should be able to get 1600x1200 with some IQ enhancements.

Did you use Driver Cleaner (or the like) before you installed the new drivers?

Edit::I saw that you said it was a new install up top, don't think I didn't read. Windows comes with pre-existing drivers. You still need to get rid of them.
