Purchased my evga 7800GT OC back in 06, served me well
so its been acting up with newer games with any resolution and settings. After some investigation I found out that my card gets really hot sometimes in 100C in about 10 min of gaming. Idles @ mid 60s.

I can easily play Source with 16x10 res with high settings on everything with 0 lag
Same thing goes with BF2, for some odd reason it only happens with new games Bioshock, team fortress, DIRT.

Checked memory and clock speeds everything seems normal 460 and 1100, I even lowered it to 400 and 1000 still same thing in 10 min...

any suggestions? I was hoping to keep this card until the new XXXXGTX comes out. I never OCed it so I'm pretty sure evga would cover that with their warranty, but I can't imagine myself with out my computer for x amount of weeks at best...
 
Thanks to the people that responded!

I took off the hsf cover with evga logo, and surely there was this built up, it was like wall of dust that was completely blocking the airflow, vacuumed it, and now my card idles @ low-mid 40s... gaming mid-high 60s...
I vacuum my Case every other month or so, so I couldn't imagine something like that building up...
