Alright so i Have a GTX 560ti and a 27" Hanns G LCD
Just a quick note:
The monitor only has HDMI and VGA
ive tried a regular HDMI cable and an HDMI to DVI
Alright, so in 2D mode I notice some pixel size colors flickering.. usually its mostly green and its really spaced out. Its not stuck pixels or anything.
. Because they randomly flicker all over the screen.. and its almost like static. Its really hard to explain. It seems to do it the most on dark green colors..
Ive noticed it does it a little in 3d games, but not too much.
No artifacting or crashing though.
Thoughts?
UPDATE:
Also forgot to mention that it flickers when i bring the computer from idle. The screen will go black for 1-2 seconds about 3 times over the course of the first 20-30 seconds that its running.
When i look really closely, you can tell that the little dots are going in a pattern. So it seems like some sort of interference or something. Im going to try a new monitor because thats what it seems like to me.
UPDATE 2:
Okay im going to revive this thread just because I havent gotten a chance to do much with the PC since i opened it.
Now im getting some random Driver crashes in Windows.
Here is the kicker. I have yet to have a single issue playing 3D games, and sometimes its been for a couple of hours at a time.
The driver crash pretty much has me 75% sure its a defective Video Card
BUT
When i press the physical Menu button for my LCD I still see the Green dots all over the actual MENU. This confuses me since the LCD menu shouldnt be processed through the video card..... right?
I still havent tested another monitor. May go borrow one tomorrow to test it with. Once confirmed I will move forward with the RMA.
I did a google search and noticed alot of other people having the same issue, some people fixed it by reseating the card (tried, didnt fix) also changing out the video cable (still didnt fix it), and of course RMA.
I hear MSI can be a nightmare to RMA with so im not looking forward to that at all. :/
