Video Card Not Working

Hi there. So, one day, I turn on my computer and she won't start up. The CPU and harddrives will turn on, but the motherboard won't beep up. So, I takes out my video card (ATI Radeon 9600 Pro) and I replace it with an older video card. Sure enough, the computer and monitor turn on without any problems. I thought my AGP slot was messed, so I took my ATI Radeon 9600 Pro video card to a buddy's and the same problem occurs on his computer. So, I'm pretty sure my video card is dead or something.

Any suggestions as to what to do? ATI won't repair/replace it because the warranty expired...5 days ago! Grr! That made me quite upset. But anyways, is there a way to perhaps reset my video card bios or update the video card bios? Or does that not have anything to do with my problem? Any suggestions are greatly accepted. Thanks

i guess you can try flashing the bios, but you would have to have the computer able to give video on a PCI/on-board video card while the AGP 9600Pro is plugged in. But if the card is really dead, then you may not even be able to get a computer to POST at all with it in the AGP slot.

So try it, but either way, you are likely out a 9600 Pro... :(
