I am building a comp for my friend, he needs a vid card and this seems to be the winner, but... i've seen people stressin out about 128bit and 256bit memory.. is there a huge diff? input please... thanks!

do not and I repeat do not get 128 bit memory interface make sure its 256 bit memory interface 128 meg or 256 meg of memory are both good if you can afford it go for 256 meg
but make sure its 256 bit 128 meg or 256 bit 256 meg

128Bit interface vs 256 Bit interface. 256 bit interface all the way, it doubles the memory bandwidth in turn increasing the performance by alot compaired to 128.

Its like a 9500 pro vs 9700 non pro. Both are clocked the same speed have the same number of pipelines but the 9700 non pro performs alot better then the 9500 pro because of the 256Bit interface.

All 6800s have 256-bit memory. I think the card you are thinking of is the Radeon 9800, that one has 128bit or 256bit versions.
