i have a diamond stealth radeon 9200 card and recently it started making a buzzing noise which i found out was the fan doing this. i was wondering if i could remove the fan and just let the heatsink cool the card (the silver thing is the heatsink, right below the fan component?), would that be enough cooling or would my video card overheat?
i don't really play games, occasionally i might play wolfenstein enemy territory, but mostly i just watch dvds, videos, so that's what i'll be using my video card for mostly.
i just don't want my card to overheat or something but also that fan is really annoying too and i don't think i can fix it cuz it's too full of dust.
