Will this video card push a 26 inch LCD TV/moniter?

That depends on alot of things. What are you going to be doing with the box? Gaming? It will run it it's all just dependent on resolution, color depth and what kind of FPS your trying to acheive.

Some gaming, about the hardest game its going to push right now is KOTOR 2 and SW Balttle Fields, Want to watch dvds on it and some photo editing etc.

depends on the resolution of the monitor/tv i know people are using these things left and right on the 2405fpw so they can for sure do 1920x1200 via dvi but other than that i dunno.

Sorry for the lack of knowlegde but this is research for a build Im doing for a buddy of mine and he just received a big, BIG chunk of money and wants me to build him a PC, god knows I dont have the money for a 26 inch LCD to use a PC moniter/tv, Only thing I know it going to be top of the line moniter, Hitachi I believe, thats one thing he know alot about is home eletronics(he use to sell them till about a year ago). Only thing Im doing is building one hell of a tower to go with that big bitch....lol. I have about a 2300 dollar limit on it.

Then why are you looking at a 6600GT? Go for SLI. I build my BFG 6800GT SLI rig for about $2100 back in Jan. So you should be able to build it for cheaper now. Look in my profile for the parts.

That budget probably includes the huge lcd, which will eat away about half of it.

Nope, but does include 2 high priced printers and he want a damn expensive tv tuner card.


Edit: The mobo is SLI but I was going to go with one card for now and let it be an upgrade opion for later.

You can get cheaper memory, replace the raptor, use on-board audio, and get a case that includes a 500W PSU. This will knock off over $200.

If you want to go single card, I suggest 6800 GT or even 6800 Ultra since money does not seem to be a big issue. You will be driving a hugh screen, so don't go cheap on the video setup.

You said your budget was $2300. So I responded that you should be able to afford a much better video setup and pointed to my setup that cost $2100. Then I suggested ways to reduce the cost if it was too much. Was only trying to help. Didn't mean anything else.

Now dont give me shit for the Rosewill RAM, Ive used it and its pretty good stuff, plus it leaves him 2 slots open and He doesnt OC or Anything like that, The reason the for the big ass moniter is that it will double as a tv and He only going to game lightly, photo edit and make home movie/transfer type of stuff.

The RAM and HDD are x2 BTW.

What 26" LCD is this? Don't think that just because it is bigger and HD compatible it will have high resolution. It may only be WXGA - 1280x768.
