video card issue.

I had a problem originally with the block on my video card not being seated sufficiently, so my temperature was spiking. I have since fixed that problem and installed the waterblock the right way. now my temperature is at 13c (it's very cold in this room) and the video card is doing its thing and sitting at 250mhz gpu clock and 150mhz memory clock (this is a radeon 6970).

now the problem: any time i do anything that requires the slightest bit of gpu power and the gpu clocks itself up to 500 mhz / 1375 mhz memory (which is still well below the reference clock of the card) as it should and then locks up simultaneously. the temperature never rises though, the card is staying nice and cool now, but continues to lock up.

I am using an xspc rasa as the water block (i know it's a cpu-block), Enzotech BMR-C1 VGA Coolers for the memory and once again it's an MSI radeon 6970.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. it was running fine and gaming fine for about a month before being water cooled.
