Video card dead?

My old computer (compaq 7000, 1.3p4, nvidia card) has stopped sending an image to the monitor. I tried the monitor for this computer and it did the same thing as the old one(no signal). I opened it up and blew everything out and made sure the vidoe card was locked in place. And the speakers make the welcome sound after a minute, so i know windows is starting up. Right when I turn it on it the beeps make a dash and 2 dots then a pause and 2 more dots, sounts like( -.. ..), i dont think thats the sound it made when it started up before the proble. Is that computer startup language for "my video card is broken!"?

Sounds like this card ended hes life but any way its an old card that did hes job

that would depend on the card you currently have. but this card will do much better then the dead one.

the current card in there is a compaq nvidia geforce 2 mx 32mb. The computer is old and just for my mom to check her email and sell garagesale items on ebay.
This computer goes for 50 bucks on ebay, so im not trying to spend money to fix it.
