Today I received my BbATI x850 Pro 256 mb AGP card, quite a difference from the old 9800 Pro!
It came clocked at 500/500, so far I have been able to keep it running stable with no artifacts over a multi-hour gaming session at 590/610.
The next logical step for me to try in my performance hungry mind would be to flash the bios and try to unlock the exta 4 pipelines. I have verifed this can be done to some of the x850Pro VIVO cards (which mine is) by flashing them with the X850XT bios.
The only X850XT AGP bios I can find appears to be for the boards that have the Samsung 1.6 chips on them. I looked up the memory chips on my board and they appear to be the Samsung 2.0 chips. I am also a bit confused because even though I have the Samsung 2.0 chips, I can run them as fast or faster than the Samsung 1.6 chips. Will this bios work for my card, or am I going to mess it up by trying to load it?
