Video Camera question

I'm looking to purchase a video camera for a big up and coming time in my life. I'm getting married and want to have it to help chronicle the start of our life together as well as a couple of other little projects. One being my grandfather and Dad.
Anyway I've researched and learned a lot along the way. I played with a Sony DCR-DVD101 that I picked up cheap but returned. Since then I've realized I don't want a DVD media camcorder I want to go with MiniDV. I looked at Canon, Sony, JVC, Panasonic and have it narrowed down to two cameras.
Panasonic PV-GS65
and
Panasonic PV-GS150
The price difference between these two is $100, but I'm wondering if the price difference is worth it. They both have 3 CCD's. The only difference that seems note worthy to me is resolution (2.3mp vs. 1.2mp) and Leica being stamped on the 150's lens. Both lenses carry the same specs though so I'm wondering if there is really much of a difference here? If anyone has any experience with these two camcorders please let me know what you think. I think in the end I'll be happy with either one but I just to know which is the better deal..
I had a chance to play with a GS150 at bestbuy and found it easy to use and very ergonomical for me, but the GS65 has the same build and layout so I'm not worried there.
Thanks
