Vidcard makes game turn off????

Thanks for checking out this post. I have a GeForce FX 5900 se video card. When I installed Max Payne, everything was cool. The game starts up ok, but as soon as I start the mission, the game turns off after a couple seconds on the load screen. Any thoughts why? Thank again!
 
does it do this in any other games?

Are you running the latest version of the game
Latest drivers for vid card? via? ect ect?
