Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out how to set up screen resolution-nView settings to get the best possible picture to play an old game.
I'm pretty sure max res in game is 640x480.
I've tried that and other monitor resolutions, as well as many combinations of AA and AF settings, but the picture is still very blocky. I started the game about 6 years ago on an older system and I remember that the picture was not nearly as crappy as it is now.
I have a 7800GT and am running 91.31.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, since I'm planning on playing a bunch of older games that I didn't have time for at the time.

Try messing with the Triple Buffering (on/off) and see how that affects the game. That's not gonna mess with the "blockiness" of the game but it may help it run smoother. (or maybe not at all...)

what games are you messing with, if they are glide you could get a glide wrapper and take up the resolution to 1600x1200, i did that with carmageddon 2 that was locked at 640x480 and it looks great.

Wow, haven't talked about glide wrappers in quite a while. I don't know how to tell if the games are glideable.
The oldest games I'd like to play are:
Monkey Island 4
The Longest Journey
Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon
The Black Mirror
Syberia
I've installed Monkey4 only, so not sure how the other look.
My monitor's default res is 1600x1200 which is probably part of the problem.
