Vid card problem or not?

Yesterday while playing Quake4 my computer spontaneously reboots. Has been playing the game fine for two weeks. I tried again today and same thing. Ut2003 plays fine. HL2 is good for about half an hour, then same thing. Quake goes after 5 minutes or so. I monitored temps while I played and the core never got above 58c, so I don't think it's an overheating issue.

Everything is already reset to stock speeds, and I installed the latest drivers today. Any suggestions?

well it seems your most graphic intense game is consitent with a power/heat problem. Un OC everything and see what happens.

Do you remember changing any of the in game settings recently. I mean right before this started. Make sure your not running the game in Ultra Quality as I've noticed this causes in game crashes. Think hard and try to remember if you changed any of the in game settings like AA quality or something like that.

A few days ago I changed video quality to medium so that multiplayer was smoother (need all the help I can get :) ) But that was at least three or four days ago. Other than that, no changes. I had been playing for a few hours earlier in the day and then again for an hour or so before it crashed last night.

that shouldn't cause that at all. How about drivers, have you updated video drivers. 2 ways to look at this. If you did, try rolling back, if you didn't make sure you got the newest. ;)
