vid card for shuttle

thats not a 5950 :p

and from the looks of it, it will fit but it will be very snug.

If you haven't bough the Shuttle already, and if you haven't fully decided to buy it yet, you could always get a Biostar. They can fit 2-slot cards in there.

The Asus 5950 or in the case of that picture 5900 Ultra will not fit in a shuttle, not if you want to close the case anyways, the reason is not because the cooler takes 2 slots, it's because the molex connector points outwards towards the outside of the case.

Looks like you will need to get a 9700 or 9800 pro which are better cards anyhow. :D

Check out Gainward. They've got single slot 5900u and 5950u cards. They made 2 models of the 5900u though (&maybe the 5950... not sure) and the older one was a 2-slot board, so be careful when ordering.
Newegg's pic for the Gainward 5900u is of the older one, though the 5950 pics look just like my Gainward 5900nu 128MB except they have a heatsink on the back of the card for the extra 128MB of ram.

9600 pro AIW > *? Umm... why!? Sorry I just don't get it.

One would go with the AIW9600pro if they need the dual vga outputs. Also with the integrated FM tuner, it's a solid choice for HTPCs. Of course the AIW9800pro would perform better, but its single DVI output will make it a non-option for multi-monitor users.

all you people posting ATI card STFU and leave this guy alone if your not gonna answer his question. Look into the Gainward 5900 series. They are all 1 slot solutions now.
