I've tried looking for an integrated solution but most of the motherboards i've found (micro atx) won't support this or just doesn't work from what i've read, i'm looking for a low profilish vid card that'll support 2 monitors off displayport and 1 off hdmi...i really don't want to spend the $170 cheapest i found so far for a new card and don't know how old a card i can get that'll support this. performance doesn't matter to me, as long as it can output 1080p vid smoothly i can care less about gaming (machines not intended for this). I was looking at some r7 265 solutions but i've read bad reviews on the cards (heat/power consumption/driver issues) ...any good recommendation on a card to go with wihout breaking the bank (would love to be around the $100 price range), going to be running a 500w psu

Can you connect the DisplayPort monitors with anything else? Single DisplayPort input at 1080p seems a little strange.

The monitors can connect via dvi and HDMI too but wire management wanted to keep it tidy and just daisy chain it

This will do it for you:

But I swear that integrated graphics will handle your demands if you are NOT insisting on dual DisplayPort. Intel integrated graphics will work with triple displays so long as you are using at least one DisplayPort. I can't get any hard information on AMD, but I assume it's the same. All their discrete GPUs since 2010 have supported three displays if you're using at least one DisplayPort.

Also, you can convert any DVI port to HDMI with a cheap ($5) passive cable. This will give you 2xHDMI and 1X DP on all of the motherboards I linked below:

I can help you find a workable motherboard. Were you looking at Intel or AMD?

If you insist on daisy chain DP on Intel, I think you'll have to make all the displays use that single DP.

i'm wondering if i should just get the asus gryphon z97 board that way few years down the line if i wanted to i can purchase a newer cpu to drop in ...or would your b85 board suggestion suffice and save me money...hrmmm

You can put a 4790k in a B85 motherboard.

You just can't overclock :D

...and you might have throttling issues, depending on how well-built the voltage regulators are.

Another Z97 option with DisplayPort that won't break the bank:

And the cheaper H97 version:

The attraction of going with a Z97 or H97 board is guaranteed compatibility for Haswell refresh processors. It's not as much of an issue as it once was, but it can still pop-up. But now is definitely the time to buy, as Haswell closeouts are happening.
