I'm about to order a VGA Silencer and some ocz aluminum ram heatsinks and I was wondering if I should not get the ram sinks because the VGA Silencer will be too low or something? Has anyone tried the combo of the VGA Silencer and ram heatsinks on a BBA Radeon 9800 Pro?

You should probably look in the [H]ot|Deals section for a cheap price on the VGA Silencer from SVC.com then get yourself some ramsinks from ufokillerz. I've heard that the Rev3 will just clear the ramsinks that he carries. His sinks are cheap and they work well too

Not exactly sure but the VGA Silencer clears all other things sticking up from your board. So as long as your heatsinks aren't taller than everything else on the board you should be alright. At the very least you can apply 4 of the sinks to the backside of your board. Regardless, I highly reccomend the VGA Silencer heat sinks or no.

Well, I went ahead and bought the VGA Silencer from www.performance-pcs.com for $15, then bought a set of ramsinks from www.svc.com for about $12. I guess I'll find out if there is enough clearance, and if not, I can still put the ramsinks on the back of the card (or, when I run out of things to do, file down the other four ramsinks so that they will fit!)

For the record, Tweakmonster sinks will fit under the VGA Silencer. Just make your comparison to those, and you'll be good to go.
