hey guys,
for overclocking, what is better? the vga silencer or a giant 2? i dont care about noise.

thx

I would say Giant II if you want to overclock and keep it cool. I use the Giant II and it works flawlessly, but its Loud.

throw a 7v modded fan onto it, and use standoffs to kill deadspot. you lose pci slots but gain quiet. i really need to go to gpu waterblock eh.

i'd say the artic one...very good result from what i have seen... btw pokoltar, i have a swifft mcx-50T....has a pelt :) VERY nice...cools gpu TONS...once computer is back up, ill post how cold it gets :)

i jsut found out that theres a giant3...ok well which would be better now? the giant3 or vga cooler?? noise does not matter, i jsut want the best cooling solution for a good overclock.

If you're handy with modding, try a good 1U cooler with a quiet fan (<30dbA). Dunno about the G3, but I do like the Arctic VGA Cooler for its simplicity and ability to exhaust the heat out of the case rather than it having to go towards the memory and up to the CPU where it's all exhausted out the back and PSU.

i say none of them, a 1u or an AMD stock HSF is your best bet, and its easy and cheap and cools alot better than the afformentioned aftermarket coolers

Fan of Silencer here...
