VGA light randomly ( randomly hangs on POST )

Hello

I´ve been having a persistent issue across 3 pc builds

it started on the first one : msi mpg b550m , xpg pylon 650w , 5700x3d , 32gb ram ddr4 4 sticks , rtx 4070 eagle

my pc would randomly hang on the vga light boot process , the light wouldn´t just lit but the pc will stay there crashed at the vga light

so i went there and swapped gpu for a 4070 super , problem persisted

got a new mobo ( tuf b550m) problem persisted

got a new psu ( core reactor 650w ) problem persisted

swapped the kit with my brother ( he has a tuf b650m-e wifi , 32gb dual kit 6000mhz ddr5 and a ryzen 5 7600 ) and the problem persisted

even swapped ssds to test and still there

so , swapped the whole pc and still happens

even got new hdmi and dp cables to test and still happens

swapped my case as well

can my monitor or tv cause the pc to crash ? (both monitor and tv works )

what is being used between builds : one line filter for tv , one line filter for monitor and pc , logitech mouse g305 , redragon keyboard dragonborn brown , hs65 surround corsair

my peripherals are all usb ( 3 usb devices in total )

i´m wondering , is there something wrong that is causing it ? can my line filter crash the vga light ? or maybe the usb devices are causing it ?

is there something else that i should look for ?

I've got a computer that will turn on fine if the tv it's attached to is on, or if the video cable is unplugged, but not if this tv is connected and off.

USB can sometimes do weird shit too.

i´ve always used this tv , monitor for a long time , the headset is new tbh

can it cause the hang on post even if it works 100% ? thanks

In my case, yeah. Computer works 100%, TV works 100%, just computer won't start properly if it's hooked up to the tv and the tv is off.

do you have to restart button in the case for it to work ? does it hang on vga light as well ?

No VGA light, it's a chromebox. It always always hangs if I push the power button to turn it on and the TV is off. Gotta turn the tv on, long press power to force it off, then press the power button again, or turn the tv on first the first time.

i´m a bit upset , can´t seem to fix this problem for the sake of it

i don´t know if it is a motherboard thing (nor gpu tbh) since i´ve swapped them as well

well let´s see if the headset causes it , will use it without for a while to see

are 3 usb devices too much to handle maybe ?

all motherboards tested with latest bios unfortunately

this issue followed me in about 3 pcs already

can power issues ( maybe my line filter ) cause it ?

i´ve been using the same 3 usb devices between builds , i guess there is a high chance to be it

it sucks because it is already hard enough to reproduce but annoying when it happens

this latest motherboard resets settings due to a "crash" in the post but i´m sure it is not the gpu

i mean , i don´t know if i´m overthinking but i kept my 3 case fans ( 3 sickleflow red ) and the cpu cooler ( ag620 with one rgb for each fan )

i don´t use any fan/rgb splitters

wondering if the fans cause it lol

i also have the habit to turn on the tv / monitor while the pc is booting but i did this with all the gpus and it never crashed

Set bios switch to initialize onboard gpu first and use that as primary display then arrange other displays using catalyst control center after windows is loaded.

my pc boots and works well but it just randomly crashes in the vga light during post sequence

i had this before with a 5700x3d , 4070 eagle ( without igpu)

and now it happens with a r5 7600 and 4070 super windforce

do you mean arrange the windows p shortcut? to display in both tv and monitor ?

do you think it could be a power issue in my house or line filter ? note that my pc never shut off during heavy/light use

i´m amazed negatively how 3 builds could input the same result , that is very disappointing to say the least

unless i got 2 busted gpus but i refuse to believe that ( the first one wasn´t bad at all , since it worked fine when it booted as well , same for the second )
