I just bought myself a 57" mitsubishi 1080p tv, but i was wondering if i used a VGA cable with dvi adapters on either side (both my video card and tv have dvi ports), can it be digital or is it analog? Both my TV and computer see it as analog, but I thought vga cables were capable of digital signals... Would i have to get a real dvi-dvi cable to make it digital?

VGA is pure analog and only has pins for the analog side of things. Unfortunately no adapter or adapter cable will change that. Those adapters change it to DVI-A (DVI analog) but not to DVI-D.

And yes you'll have to get a DVI cable to get a pure digital signal.

bah, stupid me...that's kinda what i figured but was hopin for a different answer ;) Thanks for the reply!
