VGA Cooler Weight/Support Question

I've got an EVGA 7800GT on my EVGA NF4-SLI board. I'd like to get the Zalman VF700 Cu cooler. It seems kinda heavy. I LAN quite a bit so I'm transporting my PC to and fro.

Is there some sort of support mechanism I could install to help support the extra weight or should I not worry about it as long as I'm not dropping my PC?

Is there any trick to removing the stock cooler from the 7800GT or is it just take out the screws and it pops off?

i do not owen a 7800 i have a 6800 but ya all you do is remove the screws and it will come off.
