found out the issue for those of yo uwho are wondering. one of my sticks of ram was bad and was causing everything to crash. what tipped me off was that after a while the BSOD started saying memory management was the reaseon.... o well

now i have to deal with newegg RMA...

i build pcs at work and i had a gigabyte board that did same thing. no video and turns out was a bad ram stick. so it can happen.

I've found bad RAM can cause the weirdest, inconsistent and random errors. Anything from BSODs to certain applications just crashing to desktop with no error messages. So from now on it's pretty much the first thing I look at when I get crashes (if I'm not OC'd :)).

Glad you found it so quickly though. At least you didn't spend days troubleshooting it and ultimately wanting to set it on fire.
