I got an old NT Voicemail PC from my dad's work. Amd 300 Mhz processor, not sure the kind of motherboard. It had 2 4 gig drives in it with a dupli disk. I swapped those for a 30gb Western Digital WD300. It booted into OS/2 which the older voicemails use. I wanted to reformat and install XP but it did not let me boot from CD for some reason. So I stuck the drive in my usb enclosure and plugged it into another computer. To my disbelief, the drive showed up as only 1.96 GB! I have no idea why it did this...it is very confusing to me.
After some time I was able to get it to boot my XP cd and installed it...but it still shows a 2GB hard drive. I am hoping someone has an idea as to why this occurred. Thanks!

You can use GParted to extend that partition. It seems the drive is formatted as FAT. If you want to use XP, use NTFS, or even FAT32.
