It depends on tax. for me with tax, both comes out to be about the same gb/$

Barely warm :/ average price on the egg for a decent 500GB is 100-110.

I purchased my 500GB 7200.11 drives for $110 shipped via deals at newegg (list is $120 now), and would highly recommend people consider those rather than save a few bucks on older tech.

good find- i got the maxtor drive (which is the same with seagate's buyout of the company) with the exact same specs from frys for $100 a few weeks ago as well!
