Very tiny font size

This happens on Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Mythubuntu, openSUSE, and Fedora Core. The font sizes on the main system stuff like the taskbar and system tray is fine. The font in application though is REEEEALY tiny. It only happens on this LCD too - a 42" Akai flat panel (don't laugh...it was free ). I'm trying to setup an economical HTPC for DVD and music playback, and Linux would save me $100 on this project. What's up with this, and how do I make the font normal?

i highly recommend you install the default vista "segoe" font and change everything in ubuntu to use it. it makes a pretty big difference. google segoe font to download it.

Are you using Fedora Core right now?

Preferences > Look and Feel > Appearance

Fonts > Details > Resolution = 96

That should help you out quite a bit.
