I am getting very strange readings from my psu.

here are some screen shots, will use an mm to check the voltages tho.

I bought this psu on thursday, my setup

Gigabyte 8i945p Pro motherboard
Intel D940 cpu
2 gig ram
3 hdd 200 gig satas
1 dvd drive
1 audigy 2
1 wireless nick
1 tv card
1 floppy drive
x850xt pe video card.

my psu is Antec True Power2 550watt

my 5+ volt is 1.85volts over reading at 6.85 and the vbat is 4.08 volts and not 5, should i worry about this???

Wow! That's the first time I've seen that!

Double check that with a multimeter.

Low voltages are ok. High voltages blow shit up.

Anything that is +/- 5% off of what it is stated to be is not good. The five volt rail at 6.85 is WAY too high. Definitely check with a mm.

I am going to do that today. it couldnt be because i am using the 24 ping power and hooking up the cpu power. also to check the power levels i can just check the 5 volt line on the hdd power plug yes?

use the molex plug. yellow + black = 12v, red + black = 5v.

well used my multimeter and i get the following while running prime 95 stress test and sisoft sandra burn in test.

12 Volt line is 12.10Volts
5 Volt line is 5.12 Volts

used a fluke 87 multimeter

just checked the motherboard with the mm and yup sensors are useless.... so gonna have to get a probe and do the temp with the prob.n all is good mobo 5v is 5.10
