Okay, I'm at my whit's end and have NO IDEA what the hell the problem is...only thing I can say is it HAS to be hardware based, but I don't get it. Here's the problem...

I doubt many of you have used pagemaker, I'm just praying SOME of you have lol. When loading up a document it's fine, but like, when you scroll down or do anything that alters an image on the program , it lags for a good couple seconds then draws again...i have no idea what could be causing this, but I need it fixed ASAP...i mean, what makes a computer do that after EVERYTHING else I tested was fine...

Anyone who can help I owe so much. Thanks for anything you can toss at me, thanks guys.

P.S. I don't think it's videocard related, it's runnning an FX5200...not the best, but good enough to run DVI on the latest nvidia drivers.

Edit: Specs would help

Pentium4 3.2C on an Abit motherboard
1 Gig (2x512MB) dual-channel kingston memory
120Gig Maxtor EIDE ATA133 7200RPM HDD

and a couple opticals and the videocard...sound is onboard. can't think of anyhthing.

Does it do something similar in other apps? Acrobat, for instance?

Latest chipset drivers and Direct X installed? Sounds like video card drivers are current.

Other apps running at the same time? Checked for spyware and/or viruses?
