I'm looking for a very quiet 500-600W PSU that will be eventually used for a conroe + G80 combination. It must have modular cables. So far the only one that i have found that fits the bill is the Zalman ZM600-HP. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Tks

The best of the best is going to be the seasonic M12 series. Quiet and silent are very relative tho... seasonic M12 would be the best sound quality for high performing PSUs. however, most ppl dont' need their systems THAT quiet.. especially w/ that kind of price

I thought of those also, but I just read a review saying its a bit noisy: http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=279&type=expert&pid=6

I have used Corsair 520w (made by Seasonic) when setting up a low power rig. The fan barely spins and the thing was virtually inaudible. If this is the way they all operate, it mights still be just the thing for you - quiet except when vidcard is drawing lots of power.

New review posted on SPCR. They had favourable comments about these corsair psus. Anyone looking into getting one should definitely take a look!
