So i just bought the EVGA GTS 250 512mb Video card, and i noticed they are on sale even more for 90 dollars (20 bucks cheaper than what i paid last week) and im curious if i bought a second for SLI, would it be worth it?

Not sure if it matters, but my motherboard is this http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicat...423&sku=G452-0010&srkey=GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R

Not sure if it is SLI ready, and im curious considering the size of the GTS 250, would they fit in there togather alright?
Thanks guys

From a little bit of ready i guess the real question is Is my motherboard SLI compatible and im guessing no, anyone confirm that for me?

It is not sli capable. Only intel boards capable are x58 chipset. Your board only has one pci-e x16 slot anyway so you can't crossfire either.

That's not true. Nforce (nvidia chipset) motherboards support SLI. The ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe supports SLI. It's even got SLI in the name.. that's a big hint. It will reduce to x8 x8 though.

I dunno about running GTS 250 in x8 x8. Will have to look up benchmarks or someone else may know. This review is very favorable for it: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/gf-gts250-sli_8.html#sect3 Seems to suggest that it beats a single GTX 285 in most games, but they're running full x16 2.0 on an X58 board.

Riddle me this. Why does the motherboard in your signature differ from what you told us you have? The one in your sig supports SLI. Just curious

Check the board op linked to. I was responding to that not what's in his sig. ;)

Don't worry, PCI-E 8x is more than enough for a single GTS250, as 8800GTX runs with a few percent of performance drop in PCI-E 4x.
