Very Odd Sound Issues with Overclock

I recently threw a new cooler on my Q6600 and OC'd it to 3.2 GHz (8x400). In my (P5K-E Wifi/AP) motherboard BIOS I set all the NB, SB, PLL voltages to the lowest setting. I set the PCI-E lock to 100 MHz. Prime95 for 7 hours no issues. For some reason when on the desktop/playing games (CoD: World at War) I hear a really faint click sometimes in my headset and when this happens the sound fades out and I can't hear anything in the game for a while. Then I may hear another faint click and the sound begins to fade in again. What makes it even more puzzling is that I can have Windows Media Player playing a song in the background just fine with absolutely no issues while CoD:WaW fades out. Yesterday before I had Prime95'd my system I had 2 BSOD's with World of Wacraft (this game doesn't give me sound issues however) both were IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL_TO dx**something**.sys errors. I upped the voltage one notch to 1.232 V (as reported by CPU-Z) and thus far have not had any BSOD's but am having sound issues with CoD:WaW.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
are you using the front or back audio jacks.. this tends to happen on cases that have front jacks.. overclocking messes the audio up.. thats my first guess atleast..

Using the back which has until now been trouble free. Yeah I know what you mean by the front, even without overclocking I can hear high-pitch noises on the front.
 
hmm weird.. maybe need to bump the northbridge voltage up or something.. kinda odd.. or try reinstalling the drivers or something.. its odd that its only effected in 1 game that would make me question the game more then anything else..

also you might want to try reinstalling directx i cant remember but COD WaW might use directx audio accel.. which is what that error you got in WoW BSOD was for a directx system file error..
 
Just actually received another BSOD in world of Warcraft. It said the IRQ_LESS_THAN spiel about dxkrnl.sys.
 
I put up the voltages on FSB termination voltage, nb, sb one notch, each separately (not all at once) and the sound still cuts out. I am just baffled as to what the problem is.
