For a quad-core system is it better to use the 8 pins EATX12V connector or will the 4 pin one be enough? And please could somebody tell me the difference in use of each one?

I have this 3 motherboards in mind for the build

PS: I'm not thinking on doing any type of OC

Lots of thanks in advance!!

If the board is rated for a Quad then it doesnt matter.

The determinant is after all, what type of PSU you have.

My small opinion is 8 is the wave of the future, so it might be a good idea to invest in a proper PSU. and that Deluxe WiFi board is very feature rich.:D

Yeah I though so....

I only asked cause I now that line is the direct feed of current for the CPU so i though its stability could be compromised if voltage was lower than required, knowing that a Quad-Core consumes more than Core Duo.

BTW I'll be using a Corsair 520W PSU for the new rig
