Super basic question here - I'm trying to buy a birthday gift for a friend, who has told me on several occasions that he wants a vertical monitor on his computer desk. The thing is, his desk already has two monitors and is cluttered as is, so I don't want to get him a mount with a big footprint.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a high quality, rotating monitor mount that won't take up too much desk space? Preferably one that doesn't require one to drill stuff into the desk or the wall.
 
All of the ones that I've seen, use the VESA mounting system of the monitor, so you can "mount" the monitor in any orientation that you want.

The VESA mount is a square mount, so you simply attach the monitor any way that you want.

So pretty much any monitor mount that you find will work.
