Vertex firmware version

Sorry if its a bit of a noob question but i have read that you can see the firmware version in the BIOS, my BIOS (P6T SE) just shows "OCX vertex" and no number after it. i just bought it a couple of weeks ago but i would like to ensure it has the latest firmware.

any way to check it? (preferably from windows)

With newer FW revisions, the FW is not shown in BIOS or RAID Bios any longer. You'll need to get into windows, go to device manager, locate the drive under "disks drives", right click and go to properties. Under the details tab, change the dropdown to Hardware IDs. It will show something like OCZ Vertex___________1.41__

That number at the end will be your firmware.
