I picked up 1 240gb vertex 2 ssd the same $105 refurb off this forum for my old AMD 1090t htpc win 8 build.I was also considering putting it in a core 2 duo vista laptop but no trim.I just put in an external case for now to test it before I commit opinions ? :rolleyes:
 
I have one bought new in 2010, used it with XP at first, then 7, and now back to XP on my parents' computer, lack of trim isn't a big concern.
