Thats the message I get when I try to boot with my new computer after a brand new install of Windows XP with a 400gb western digital sata hard drive? What does it mean?

-I forgot this part. It just boots, says "Verifing DMI pool data" and reboots over and over again.

i think we all get the same thing everytime we start our machine... what it means... well i'll let someone else explain

It is possible your MBR (Master Boot Record) is corrupt. Use your Windows XP cd and boot to the Recovery Console. Type "fixmbr" and it should be good as new.

Yup,
I've seen that one when I'm gradully bumping FSB's in the initial OC phase. I then add a bit of voltage and then repeat until I can't get any farther.

Good Luck!

I'm not overclocking. It's a brand new computer and a fresh install of window's

I did the fixmbr command and it said my mbr was unsusual. Would you like to fix it and I chose yes. It still just boots and says "Verifying DMI pool data" and reboots. (wierd thing, even after repairing it and i type fixmbr again. It says its still an unusual mbr over and over. Could my copy of windows be bad and causing a bad mbr?)

I hooked it up to my old computer as a slave and installed Western Digital's diagnostic software and it says everything is ok.

My mother board is an EPOX 9NPA and it makes it all the way to FF on the boot process which is "Boot attempt" but it keeps on just restarting over and over again.

Any ideas? Thanks for all your previous ideas.

Try running Memtest86 either from floppy or CD.
Its a quick ( 2 hours+ ) test that I always run before installing Windoze to the hard drive.
If you can run three loops with no errors showing up then its not the memory.
Plus you know your machine is stable enough to run for that long.

Luck........ :D
