Build looks good but you should know that card and board, most of the SATA ports will be blocked by the video card.

also you will need a aftermarket HSF for overclocking, if you are going pass 3.5 GHz. I would suggest Coolermaster Hyper 212+.

if your budget will allow, this would be a better combo for the money Gigabyte 770T and x3 720

I think that looks like a solid build. Only missing the graphics card. He'll be on a 19" but plans on buying a 22inch in couple months then upgrade graphics card in a year or so.


Need help choosing. Any explanation would be great.

-You need DDR3 memory for 770T. Suggested are G.Skill DDR3 4 GB 1600 Ripjaws
-4870 1 GB for 22" display

Oh, and if you can, switch to a 640GB HDD, since it'll be slightly faster than that 500GB.
