Ventrilo, Vista and WOW

ok here is my problem
i have windows vista,,and ventrilo, everything works fine when i have just ventrilo open, i can talk and people can hear me, but when i open world of warcraft, i cant talk to anyone,
WOW takes hot key priority and wont let me key up,, the vent key isnt being used in wow either, i made sure of that,
so is there any way to fix this issue?
 
ok i just unchecked both of those boxes,,, vent runs fine, can talk and hear people, untill i open WOW, then same thing,,
seems like when im in wow window, that wow wont let vent have that key or something i dont know,
i run 2 monitors and put vent in 2nd monitor, so when i key it up to see if icon beside my name lights up to show that im keying, and it doesnt show me keying while focused in wow
hope im explaining ok?
 
Are you sure that you don't have one of the applications running as Admin, and one not?

If WoW is running as admin, and Vent isn't, you would see that type of behavior. (Same if Vent is admin and WoW isn't)
 
Ill be &*%$%^ that fixed it
I was running WOW as adminstrator because it wouldnt do its updates if not,,and i never even dreamed of that being the issue,, so i put vent to run as administrator and bam that got it
Thanks for the help, i rattled my brain for a few days on that
