Yo! :)

I have a 150gb velociraptor I wanna take traveling with me.

Can you get usb hardcases for them? Or firewire?

Can't find shit so far, any help would be great.'

Thanks :)

it works but of course will be limited by usb bw. You can firewire as long as the portable case has the port and so does your computer.

The VR is the same as any other 3.5" drive.

Here's a few on Newegg.

Just make sure to match the case's internal drive connection to your drive (SATA) and pick the case's external connections that you want.

In addition to the external HDD enclosure, make sure that you pick up a padded carrying case for the enclosure.

For a long-term "solution," consider a USB 3.0 enclosure, as it's backwards compatible with the USB 2.0 bus (though you'll only have USB 2.0 bandwidth speeds when using it).
