well just installed and uninstalled the latest vega 8 drivers from Lenovo site 22.19.655.5120
crashed in valley benchmark on my HP x360 Ryzen laptop dated 27 nov 2017

rolled back to 22.19.655.3072 dated 8 Nov 2017 from Acer site But these have never crashed in any benchmark

maybe AMD is having problems updating their driver for vega 8 could be why there haven't been any new ones on AMD site...
 
custom drivers are never the same for one machine to another, it also depend a lot on the OEM and not on the GPU vendor, it is the same for intel drivers and nvidia drivers for a lot of heavy customized laptops and even on OEM Desktops.
 
From what I have seen there really does not seem to be a lot of customization at all..
