Anyone got any experience dealing with Vmware View Deployments? Currently trying to pick a server platform (definately going Xeon 5500 series) to do this on. Would love to get 100 users on a dual socket quad core solution, but it seems RAM is the limiting factor here. Any suggestions on a super RAM dense servers that use Intel's newest proc's?
Our current VMware farm (no vdi) uses Dell 2950's that I badly need to double the ram to 64GB asap.

HP DL380 G6's have 18 DIMM slots and support up to 192 GB of RAM.

18 * 8 GB DIMMs = 144 GB

Yep. DL380G6s or you can do Cisco UCS blades. 384GB on a full-width dual-socket blade. Do 4 of them in the 6RU chassis.
