i just did my first overclock and i set my vcore to 1.625 but when i turn on the asus probe it says my vcore is running from 1.648 to 1.664 so i was wondering if i should up my vcore to 1.65 or just keep it at 1.625?
im on a amd athlon xp mobile 2600+
 
A bit of variation in the voltage reading is normal. Instead of setting the voltage to a number that you think is good/needed, do some experimenting.

Run Prime95 for a couple hours. If you get errors, increase your voltage. If you don't get errors, decrease your voltage. Repeat.

In a short time, you'll find the minimum voltage needed to run error-free. That's the voltage you should use (or maybe one notch higher if you're paranoid). Concentrate on stability/results, not the voltage numbers themselves.
 
well it wont run below 1.6 and it ran fine at 1.6 untill my sound cut out donno if thats an error or not but its been running stable for the past few hours at what i have it right now
