vcool is v. cool!

Just bought an antec vcool intake fan for my following rig:

Abit AA8XE
Intel 3.2 @ 3.85 P4 540j
XP-90 HSF
1gb OCZ DDR2 533 Value ram
3dconnect x800xl @ 453core 567mem
460W Akasa UQuiet PSU

Here's the temps before i installed the fan:



Here's the temps after i installed the vcool:



My graphics card temps dropped 5c, also my cpu\sys temps also dropped 4c as well.

Gotta be happy with that!

Nice drop in your temps. Not sure how it would help cpu temp being an intake..you msut not have much airflow. I use one of those 2 fan, blue led deals under my card in work rig. Never really checked it it helped much, I assume it did some, as the air must help cool the mem on the vid card.

Yeah airflow was not too good before, my case only has room for 1 80mm case fan at the front!

Fan is 3 speed, i've currently got it set at high and it's not much louder than the zalman 92mm fan on my xp-90.

Was thinking of getting one of those but it didn't really seem that effective last time I checked. Guess I should read a few reviews and see.

Yeah had a one slot fan that recently died, hence a replacement! That did'nt seem to do too much temp wise, but the vcool shifts alot of air into the case.

I orientated the 80mm case fan at the front to blow air out.... not ideal but i don't want to buy another case, with better cooling options, just yet.
