VBox 164e at pcalchemy soon

[JBark]

I know a few of us have been waiting for this card to hit the States, and don't really want to deal with the guy on EBay. There is now hope, as pcalchemy should have some cards available for sale within a week or so.

I just received word from VBOX that the DTA-164e is on the way and should be in the VBOX US warehouse on Monday 11/27. If they don't get lost we will should them available on Thursday 11/30.

I believe they will be $199.00, but please do not hold me to that as it has been so long since we placed our order that I don't remember what we paid ;-)

I'll probably get a case of them overnighted so we have them on 11/28. If I get confirmation that they are actually en-route I will put them on the website for preorder. If this happens before Thanksgiving they will become part of our Thanksgiving sale and may be less than the $199!

I'll post with any new developments.

So keep your eyes out over the next couple days. If they show up during their sale, I'm going to be mighty tempted to order one.

It is finally available on PCalchemy now.

Someone buy it and do a review.

I've been waiting for these to finally be released, but in the meantime I bought a HDHomeRun from www.9thtee.com and probably won't need the 164e now. Being able to just plug it into the network is a big bonus for me, especially since it is working with QAM in SageTV.

If VBOX had gotten the cards out 1-2 months ago, I would have bought one.
