I am looking into the near future and early planning a new computer build.

When the Dual Core Extreme Edition Comes out, I want to build a system. Since it is comming up in Q2 - Q3 this year... I want to be ready with options on cooling.

I have never cooled with anything other than Air... but I do not want to go water route.

This will be an "expensive" system. So price does not matter to a point, but I do want the best cooling.

Where is the best place to buy this extreme cooling gear? and what all do I need?

and are these things quiet? or extremly loud like a refridgirator?

Thanks

I was looking at the LightSpeed AC... The unit seems pretty good from internet reviews I have read... Anyone have this and can you post expirances?

Thanks

sidewinder computers is a good vendor. Vapochill LS easy to install and quieter than a mini 'dorm fridge' ;)

If I had a fridge as loud as my Vapochill XEII, I'd throw it out of the window!

Still, not too loud compared to air cooling solutions.

As far as I understand it, the LS and the MachII GT are the 'best' commercial phase change cooling systems available. The GT has a slight edge over the LS in terms of raw power and is also quieter, but the LS has a much easier to install evaporator head, which offers much better protection against condensation.

The XEII that I've got has the same evaporator head as the LS, and certainly was easy to install - even for a phase change noob.

USMC2Hard4U, I'm planning on building a new system when dual cores come out as well and also wanted the best cooling out there. I've decided on the LS.
