Vantex Vortex Fan Controller broken?

Anyone else have a Vantec Vortex? My fan controller seems to have stopped working. It won't supply any power to the fan anymore. I've tried various fans on the 3 pin plug.

What could be wrong? Could the fan controller have been overloaded somehow?
 
What kind of fans were you running off it? Massively fast ones? Anythign short of tornados or big ass deltas shouldnt have burnt it out.
 
The Vantec Vortex is a 5 1/4" bay harddrive cooler. It uses a crossblower fan much like the ones in Coolermaster Stacker cases. I have tested 92mm and 120mm Panaflo fans on it but even they don't get any power from it now.
