Here is my quesion, I bought, today, a Vantec UV Cold Cathode light for my case. Everything was fine for about an hour until I noticed a very slight burning smell coming from the inverter that came with it. I looked closer and noticed a spark coming from inside the inverter periodically. I have no idea how an inverter works, so is this normal? Just in case I have turned the light off until I know what's going on.

Thanks.

I don't think that an inverter is supposed to spark....that's just begging for trouble. I would say that you have a bad inverter, bulb, or both.

RMA the kit just to be safe, and good luck.

NOT normal. Get that sucker out of there. Check molex connections and stuff, run it outside the case for a while to check it further if you dare. Otherwise, return it!

Ok, thanks. I was going to return it anyway, just wanted to get the [H] opinion first. :p

Thanks
