My processor recently crapped out even though it was idling at 28C, so I RMA'd and am getting the replacement tomorrow, Anyway at the time I was running the Vantec AeroFlow HSF on my 2.8c in a P4P800 Deluxe. The thing is pretty noisy (always seemed to ran at 5000+ RPMS (couldn't find out how to change it)) and from what I've read the Zalman is an excellent choice for quiet and great cooling. I also want to make sure that this proc doesnt crap out, at least not from heat... So I was wondering if anyone would recommend me switching from the Vantec to the Zalman Copper or Zalman Aluminum/Copper even though it weighs nearly twice as much  ... Or if anyone knows how to run the Aeroflow at lower RPMS this would also be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advanced

Supposedly the zalman al/cu actually runs cooler than the all cu version. And before anyone starts posting that i am retarted since copper has a better thermal heat transfer coefficient I was told it is because of a fan switch that all the alcu have a slightly different fan or it pushes more air. However, after all is told it is only about 1C cooler usually.

I have the zalman on a 2500mhz barton mobile and sandra says it is putting off 113W at 1.75V. I believe this number is wrong. However, it idles at 46C which is quite good for this heatload and only one 120mm exhaust fan. Running the antec sonata case so i want quite.

This heatsink is the best quite heatsink on the market period. If you want cool and quite..get this one

One word of warning. It may not fit your current motherboard, so check on their website before you buy one
