Well, I've built my computer for some time now and I'm just tired of listening to all my case fans go off. I'm pretty sure that the 4 led fans I have is what's making up at least 75% of the noise. I'm also pretty sure the noise is coming from moving air, rather than the fan themselves. I've considered cutting holes to let air flow through my case a lot easier, but I have a bigger chance screwing it up than suceeding.
Ok, so I've looked around for fan controllers and I've set my sights for the Vantec Nexus NXP201 controller but I have a couple of questions:
1. How does the silver model look, compared to Lian Li (PC 65) alluminum drive covers? Is it a match? Slightly off? Slightly off, but ugly? Not even close?
2. Does anyone's vantec nexus make noises when set to the lowest setting? I read reviews, and they say that this rheobus makes some sort of ..noise when set to lowest setting (which is 7v if I'm not mistaken). The thing is, all those reviews are dated at least one year from now. I'm hoping that Vantec has fixed this problem.
3. Should I just go for a different Rheobus? I was considering the Sunbeam rheobus but not a lot of stores carry them and I just don't like that baby blue etching. I don't want to spend too much money, I'm going to get either a Zalman heatsink or an xp90 with my purchase.
I might overclock but not for a while though, maybe when winter comes back.
