Vantec Multifunction Panel gone wild!

My Vantec front panel has been ok with the 80mm tornado on it for some time, but as of late the speed fluctuates and i can hear an audible difference when I watch the rpms go up and down on the lcd display. I had spliced wires so that i could use a vantec tornado with this panel. Could the fluctuation be caused by a loose wire maybe? Or maybe the fan is going, or the panel? Any ideas? :confused:
 
sounds like the rheo in the panel might be going..... that is what happened to my pctoys panel when I had 2 120mm ystech fans on it.... then i caught fire :( just keep an eye on it but I would definately try and figure something else out to use besides the panel especially if it is acting funny....
